What are the modes on C.T.R.L.R for?

  • GameSmart Mode is for use with gamepad-support games. It will also work for navigating the Android menu and launching apps
  • Mouse Mode is for setting up your M.O.J.O., Android navigation, email and web browsing. It can also be used on many games/apps which don't support gamepads as a substitute for touch input
  • PC Mode is for using C.T.R.L.R with a PC, used in conjunction with the USB dongle

My mouse cursor speed is too slow/fast. How can I change this?

Go to 'Settings>Languages and Input' and use the 'Pointer Speed' setting to adjust the speed of the mouse cursor.

Why do I need to use the USB dongle with C.T.R.L.R?

The USB dongle provides a Bluetooth Smart connection to achieve ultra-low latency and extended battery life.

Any computer with a USB port should be compatible. Connect the USB dongle and set the Mode Switch to PC Mode.

Why are some apps missing from the Google Play Store?

Unless otherwise stipulated within an app's manifest (which is an xml file included with every app), the Google Play Store assumes that all apps require a touchscreen. Since M.O.J.O. uses the C.T.R.L.R (or other devices) instead of a touchscreen, some apps appear to Google to be incompatible and won't pop up in the Play Store search results. We're continuously working with publishers and developers to update their app manifests so that their apps are downloadable on M.O.J.O., and more compatible apps are coming online every week.

The good news is, you don't have to wait: you can now unlock M.O.J.O.'s full capabilities by rooting the device. Rooting will open up access to many more games and apps in the Google Play Store, and it only takes a few minutes, a PC (or Mac), and a male-to-male USB cable. See the links below for specific instructions on how to root.

Even without applying the root mod, the vast majority of apps will still function with M.O.J.O. You might find the app you're looking for at aggregator sites like androiddrawer.com and downloads.ws.

The edges of the screen aren't visible. I can only see part of the navbar icons at the bottom and the clock at the top. How can I fix this?

Some televisions will adjust the picture of M.O.J.O. so that the edges are off screen. To change this, you should check the settings menus of your television and look for Aspect Ratio or Zoom options. Every television is different so the exact method for adjusting will differ from model to model. However, if there's a Zoom level option then setting that to 'Full' should solve it. Alternatively, if it's an Aspect Ratio menu then 'Scan Only' is the option to select.
